Mum, George, Jun Jun & I went to a bible study tonight in someone's house in the centre of General Santos. The house was on top of a building and had a lovely roof terrace with a Japanese garden and a view of the sea. It was nice and breezy too. I realised how surreal it was at the end of the meeting to be singing a Christmas carol "Oh Come Let Us Adore Him" in 33 degrees celcius, with still having not got my head round it being nearly Christmas. It was lovely though! I don't miss shivering every time I leave the house! lol. We ate after the meeting as they were having the Christmas get together for the usual group who go. The owner's dog 'Truffles' was there, a shih tzu/poodle mix, he was a character!.
View from the terrace - it's bit dark! Just over the road in those shop fronts were loads of homeless people bedding down for the night. They are called 'Bajau' and are originally 'sea people'. They come from their villages to the city around Christmas time to beg.
Truffles looks a cheeky dog sticking his tongue out to the camera lol ;)
