Because its so hot here we haven't sunbathed once and we're never out in the sun for more that about 15 minutes at a time. I have only put sun tan lotion on a couple of times for that reason! However we've realised since getting the scooter that we're in direct sunlight for longer as we're scooting around town! Laurence's arms got badly burnt yesterday because he hadn't put any factor on. He said it was because I didn't remind him! :-D He has found a solution though! I always wondered why the tricycle drivers wore so many clothes in this heat, I now know its to stop then burning. Laurence got some 'sleeves' and gloves that the bike drivers wear to protect them from the sun. He now gets stared at less when he's on the bike because all his white skin is covered up :-D
We are hoping to visit a resort soon so we can do some sunbathing on the beach. I think it would be impossible to lie in the sun without the sea or a pool to cool down in. I am on October break from 29th October until the 2nd November so we're on the lookout for a holiday spot :-) There are some close by so we could return on the same day or it's really cheap to stay over.
Glad you found a solution Laur, that burn looked SORE! :(
